Lost in (Data) Translation
Hi. Remember me?
A while ago, I ran a little large survey. Since then, I’ve been drowning by numbers in the analysis. I’m at the point where I can at least reveal teaser trailer hints as to the final results.
First! A small note. I have data. I have numbers. I am going to harsh your mellow if you don’t have numbers, because the plural of your anecdotes is not data.
Second! When the full study is done, I will release the original data set (minus the qual data). You may run the results at your leisure - just as long as you credit my data set as the source, and credit me for the work I did in collecting the data and making it available. The data set will be in SPSS format, so you’ll need access to SPSS 11 at least, and I’d recommend SPSS 15 for the sheer awesome that it has once again become. (SPSS 14 was a touch underawesome)
Third! Not only will I release the data set, I’ll reopen a variant on the survey as a replication. Not satisfied with my numbers? Well then, you can always help me out by recruiting more people to fill out my survey.
and finally! Teasers for the report after the cut…
Legend*
What do we want? DC and Marvel are treating us to annual crossover events. Are we craving the crossover?
Everyone loves Starfire. Or I mean, we’re told we have to love an alien warrior princess who walks around naked in front of minors. After all, aren’t we just craving alien races with no sense of taboo about nudity?
Okay. How about sexy superheroines in swimsuits and duct taped on costumes?
Oh my. Would you look at those.

Hey, is that a piece of fairy cake?
